1970. Why is it Wrong for Ky to Visit U.S. but not Mrs. Meir. The Indianapolis Star. Oct 2.
To the Editor of The Star:
The hypocrisy of the liberals is astounding. When Vice-President Ky wants to visit the United States, the liberals assert the principle that it is wrong to allow our foreign policy to be influenced by a foreign official. Ky would polarize our populace and polarization is wrong.
But when Mrs. Golda Meir directly addresses a special group of Americans and urges them to support Israel's policy, the liberals think it quite proper. And when a member of her parliament, the Honorable S. Z. Abramov, comes to polarize sentiment in Indianapolis, do the liberals object?
Astounding how the liberals can trot out different principles to suit different occasions.
