Gordon Clark: Postage Stamp Advertising For Religion Hit (The Indianapolis Star)

1967. Postage Stamp Advertising For Religion Hit. The Indianapolis Star. July 25.

To the Editor of The Star:

I resent your slur on Protestantism and the principle of the separation of Church and State in your editorial of July 18. This principle is nothing to be ashamed of. Established churches, with foreign heads, who try to interfere in our international policy and who try to gain support from our tax money and who want free advertising on postage stamps, are the ones who should be ashamed. Your European, socialistic outlook on religion is not to my liking.
